It made us proud :) A nice interview with Dániel.
27th March 2011
This weekend we got together again to jam, to rehearse and we came up with some really exciting ideas, one whole new song (a real prog rock HIT in the wain of Genesis...) and a half song... it's very progressive :))) So, in 2 weeks the Tabula Smaragdina "machine" will work again... we are preparing ourselves for the Summer and the Autumn... just be patient, big things will happen! :D

Playin' live and writin' new songs!
After finishing our contributions for Dante's Paradiso and the Tribute To The Flower Kings CD we decided to start writing again and to play our music live. This year we are planning some exciting gigs together with Flamborough Head from the Nethelands.

Another positive review of our debut album!
"...I strongly recommend this to those progheads that really like diverse, lively, challenging modern symphonic prog."
15th June 2010

Review, this time in German :)
"...Moderne und klassische Symphonic Rock Arrangements im eigenen Songausdruck machen eine ganz grosse, vielseitige Platte daraus, die nur unbedingt zu empfehlen ist. Und: viel Potential für die Zukunft..."
15th March 2010
Wow, another fine review of our debut album "A szavakon túl" :)
"...This is a sophisticated and refined debut album, which is well crafted and superbly produced. They have a distinctive sound, which grows on you, and which becomes more impressive with each listen. The songs are extremely well written and special attention must be paid to the vocal harmonies, which are superb, and in some places unusual! Which leads me to one important point. If I were to make one recommendation (not a criticism) to the band, it would be to sing in English. I think this would give them a wider audience, which they fully deserve..."

A positive review from Italy:
"...Fra i brani migliori del recente progetto Colossus dedicato al Purgatorio c'era senza dubbio quello dei Tabula Smaragdina, band formata da alcuni membri dei comunque sempre attivi Yesterdays. Se e vero che un solo pezzo puo lasciare intendere le potenzialita di un gruppo, e con un album completo che si puo giudicare l’ispirazione in modo piu pertinente. .

Today we found a fresh Tabula Smaragdina review on the internet, it is in French and it was published on the MUSIC IN BELGIUM website:
"Beaucoup de traditionnel, convenons-en, mais belle promenade explorant de nombreux styles. Un bel album, meme si le chant en hongrois nous le rend par moments un peu hermétique (comme le nom du groupe le laisse entrevoir). En tout cas, les compos sont tres agréables, et le jeu des musiciens est tout bonnement excellent."

"A beautiful album of progressive rock from Hungary. Tabula Smaragdina is the creature of Yesterdays' Ákos Bogáti-Bokor. Strong influence from The Flower Kings, elements of Hungarian prog (After Crying, Solaris), plus ingredients of Yes and Genesis. Strong vocals (in Hungarian), very pretty melodic developments, complex though not leaded songwriting, a keen sense of humour in some places. And an impeccable production. Trylu, this CD has taken me by surprise and I fell for it from the first track. Fans of vintage symphonic progressive rock have all the right reasons to fall head over heels over that one. Bravo! "
20th January 2010
"During A Varazs Fa Alatt by Tabula Smaragdina Hammond and Mellotron is once more to the fore (to begin with) with a prominent and heavy guitar motif offset by heavenly female vocals. The accomplished guitar playing takes in a weeping part that’s very Steve Howe circa Topographic Oceans. "

Well, it is over, we've released our first CD last weekend in Nyírbátor. Daniel had some problems getting to the gig from Germany-Budapest-Debrecen all in the same day, but after some songs played in trio (well, almost the whole setlist was played this way), Dani joined the band and we played 4 more songs together.

The King is ALIVE! :)
Another amazing project, another offer from our friend, Marco Bernard... we'll take our part in the upcoming Flower Kings tribute CD. Our song for the compilation will be "Monster Within". A very powerful song and we'll have to check how to rebuild the song in a Tabula Smaragdina way :D. It will be fun :).
Releasing the CD on the 27th November
it's time to present our first CD for you, we are busy preparing to the very first gig where we'll play the whole album... with some really interesting musical surprises :)
We'd like to say a BIG THANK YOU to our musician friends who made our rehearsals possible, especially to Gerstmájer István (for his wonderful Line6 guitar equipement - it made me feel like I'm at home, I just love Line6 :D) and to Meggyesi Attila for his bass station! Thanks guys, we'll see you at the gig :)
A small change in the shedule: we'll start at 10 p.m., 'cause Daniel will arrive from Germany on the same evening to Budapest... so he'll have to speed-race through Hungary to get to the gig in time... but we hope that you'll be there with us, waiting for him patiently :)... See you in 4 days!!!
